For a young person in a village, the barrier is often not ability but access — to a quiet desk, a working computer, a current newspaper, a book that isn’t on the syllabus. The library exists to remove that barrier entirely.

How to join
There is no membership fee, no form to fill in advance and no eligibility requirement. Come to the library during opening hours and a trustee or volunteer will show you around. If you would like to check before travelling, get in touch first.

The name
The library carries the name of Abdulkhader Jainallaudeen — the father our founder lost at thirteen, and the reason he understood what a young person without guidance is up against.
